The regional delegate for tourism in Yasmine Hammamet region, Khaled Klouia, said that the current tourism season in Yasmine Hammamet will be exceptional, pointing to the possibility of exceeding the indicators recorded during 2019.
In a statement given to Tunis Afrique Presse agency, on Saturday, on the sidelines of the launch of the eighth edition of International Carnival of Yassmine Hammamet, Mr. Klouia explained that indicators in Yasmine Hammamet, from the beginning of the year until March 10, recorded a positive development by more than 51 percent.
He also indicated that the number of incoming tourists reached 81,304 during the same period, compared to 42,000 during the same period of the previous year.
He stressed that these positive indicators coincide with the beginning of the school holiday, especially since the occupancy rate of a significant number of hotel units has reached 100% so far, pointing to the importance of the carnival in revitalizing the city.
In the same context, he highlighted that the oversight departments continue their work to ensure the best conditions for tourists arriving in the tourist area of Yasmine Hammamet.
