Tunisian computer scientist appointed Dean of the School of Computing and Data Science at Oryx Universal College in Qatar
Tunisian computer scientist Ali Jaoua has been appointed Dean of the School of Computing and Data Science at Oryx Universal College in Qatar, with the Partnership of Liverpool John Moores University, UK since March 2023, according to Leaders Magazine.
Ali Jaoua has broad experience in the world of computer science with 35 years of relentless efforts and dedication in international higher education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, program development, and administration.
Mr. Jaoua graduated from the high school Lycée de Garçons of Sfax, Tunisia in 1971 before moving to France where he studied mathematics and physics at the University of Paris Sud, Paris, France and obtained an engineer diploma from the University of Paul Sabatier, Toulouse, in 1977. He is holder of 2 PhDs in computer science from the same university.
The Tunisian scientist has contributed to much scientific research. He has worked in several Tunisian and foreign universities and supervised 14 PhDs and several MA dissertations. He has been a prolific scholar with 50 papers published in peer-reviewed journals and 100 conference presentations.
